LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Dr. Conrad Murray is asking the judge in his criminal case to deny Michael Jackson’s family full restitution, on grounds that the popstar caused his own death, according to a TMZ report.

Murray reportedly filed legal documents Monday, asking for evidence that the defense never received during the trial. Murray claims the evidence could show that Jackson gave himself the fatal dose of Propofol.

Murray’s lawyer, Michael Flanagan, argues that it is appropriate to consider the victim’s responsibility for his own demise.

According to the report, the prosecution is asking for $100 million in restitution.

Conrad Murray, I left off the Dr. because he lost his license to practice in California, is still responsible for his death regardless of any conjecture that Michael might have given himself the final Propofal injection. Murray should not have left it where Michael might have access to it. The is irresponsible on Murray part.
