BURBANK (CBS) — American Airlines announced Monday it plans to end its operations at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.
The airline, whose parent company AMR Corp. filed for bankruptcy in November, also announced plans to lay off 150 people and end its service from Chicago to New Delhi.
Flights from Bob Hope Airport will end Feb. 9.
“Our objective is to make our company competitive and more efficient in an increasingly challenging industry,” the airline said in a statement Monday.
The airline will continue offering service at Los Angeles International Airport.
