LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Three UC System universities have made Kiplinger’s Best Values for Public Colleges list for 2012, including UCLA.

UCLA is ranked number nine on the list which is based on academic quality, affordability, admission and retention rates, student-faculty ratios, and graduation rates, KNX 1070’s Jon Baird reports.

Two other California schools also landed in Kiplinger’s top 10: UC Berkeley at number seven and UC San Diego at number 10.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was ranked number one on the list for the 11th straight year.
