LAWNDALE (CBS) — A man was shot to death in Lawndale Thursday evening.

The shooting death was reported at 7:45 p.m. in the 4500 block of Rosecrans Avenue, near Hawthorne Boulevard and the border with Hawthorne, said Sgt. Rich Pena of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Pena said.
