SoCal Edison Pledges To Match Employee Contributions For Shooting Victims Fund

IRWINDALE (CBS)  — Southern California Edison announced Friday it will match any additional employee contributions to a $100,000 fund that the utility established to aid victims and family members affected by last week's shooting.

Two supervisors were killed in the shooting by an employee who then took his own life.

"There has been an outpouring of support for the victims of the tragedy from employees, members of the community and businesses," according to an SCE statement.

Following last Friday's shooting at SCE's Rivergrade facility, the utility established the fund to help families of the two supervisors who were killed and two people who were wounded but survived.

Donations are also being accepted from members of the public, who can mail checks payable to SCE's Rivergrade Victims Fund to: Wells Fargo Bank, SCE's Rivergrade Victims Fund, 1803 Walnut Grove Ave., Rosemead, CA 91770.
