LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The race is on for last minute holiday gifts!

A national survey found 30 percent of Americans have yet to finish their holiday shopping.

Stores across the Southland are staying open late, if not around the clock, for shoppers.

The New York Times reports that many retailers are offering store-wide sales to entices shoppers, such as Gap, who is slashing prices 60 percent and Ann Taylor who is offering 50 percent off.

    cheap is only always good!! peopel want buy expensive things think it is good. i find cheap thing also good because i am smart. i like very big discont and many free things. I am not chaep because america want to be only good to our mexican comunity so we are happy. I wake up early and go to store tommorrow. Can they trade in food stamp? I don’t care to give more if they acept food stamp because they are not my money.
