LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A high wind warning is in effect for most of the Southland Thursday, which is the first full day of winter.
Wind gusts are kicking up in areas such as Santa Clarita, which could lead to more power outages and wind damage.
The entire I-5 corridor through the Grapevine is expected to be especially windy, with some gusts topping 60 miles an hour.
Cooler air and gusty off-shore winds are filtering in, but high pressure will move in by Friday.
Temperatures will be in the mid-70s by Christmas Day.
