Arguments Set In Dodgers Bankruptcy Appeal By Fox

DOVER, Del. (AP) — A federal judge in Delaware is set to hear arguments over Fox Sports' request for an emergency halt to a bankruptcy court order allowing the Los Angeles Dodgers to sell the media rights to future games.

U.S. District Judge Leonard Stark told attorneys Friday that he will hear arguments next Thursday on Fox's request for an emergency stay. The judge will hear arguments Jan. 12 on the merits of Fox's appeal of the bankruptcy order.

Stark rejected arguments by a Dodgers attorney that the appeal process was being rushed.

The Dodgers want to sell the team and the media rights by April 30, as called for in a settlement with Major League Baseball. Fox argues that the sale process violates its rights under an existing contract with the Dodgers.
