Lakers Owner Jerry Buss Hospitalized

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss was hospitalized Wednesday to treat blood clots in his legs.

John Black, the Lakers vice president of public relations, told City News Service the 77-year-old Buss likely developed the clots due to extensive traveling of late.

"He is doing well and he is expected to be released in the next day or two," Black said.

Black declined to provide specifics of where Buss was being treated.

Buss has owned the Lakers since 1979.
