Man Detained After Another Man's Body Found In Truck Nearby

LAGUNA NIGUEL (CBS) — Investigators are trying to determine the events leading up to the death of a man whose body was found in a pickup truck Monday afternoon.

The man, 35, was found in a white pickup truck parked in the 27000 block of Avenida Armijo, said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Authorities were alerted shortly after 1 p.m.

Police are classifying the incident as a homicide.

The victim's family said he had recently been released from jail and was trying to turn his life around. His father admitted that he was still finding his way back to drugs and trouble.

Deputies took a man into custody for questioning after he was allegedly seen near the truck shortly before authorities arrived.
