MALIBU (CBS) —Three people are recovering after their BMW careened off Pacific Coast Highway Saturday night, coming to a stop 75 feet down a cliff on the ocean side, authorities reported.
The crash was reported at about 9:30 p.m. and was located between John Tyler Drive and Puerco Canyon Road, near Pepperdine University, sheriff’s Sgt. Donald Prince said.
A man and a woman, were airlifted to UCLA Medical Center and another woman was taken by ambulance, according to Prince.
The highway was closed while the three patients were evacuated, Prince said. It was reopened about 11 p.m. Saturday.
