Budget-Friendly Holiday Tips From 'The Go-To Mom'

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The holidays are right around the corner, but are you prepared? Kimberley Clayton Blaine, also known as "The Go-To Mom" stopped by KCAL9 Tuesday to spill her secrets are preparing for the holidays on a budget.

Go-To Mom's Tips:

• You need to have tasty treats around, after all it is the holidays! Be sure to keep some fun holiday options like these decorative tins and holiday themed cookies around the house.

• A gingerbread house kit can be costly, so here's an idea where you can use emptied out Kleenex boxes to make your own house… add some holiday candy and there you have one!

• The holidays are about giving and caring so here's a holiday chain to encourage your kids to not only get involved in making decorations to put around the houses but to write holiday wishes to family members.

French Bull Mugs are fun to give as gifts... they are bright, have great designs and are very affordable.
