Kings Lose 5th Straight, Fall In San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS) -- The Los Angeles Kings had Monday night circled on their calendars since the San Jose Sharks eliminated them in six games in last season's NHL playoffs.
But it was the Sharks who drew first blood this season, beating the Kings 4-2.
Los Angeles went ahead 1-0 on Jack Johnson's power play goal, but the lead didn't last long, as San Jose dominated the second period, scoring three goals and out shooting Los Angeles 21-8.
The Kings have now lost five straight games.
