MALIBU (CBS) — A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash Saturday in the Santa Monica Mountains above Malibu, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident on Las Flores Canyon Road near Hume Road was reported to the CHP about 11:45 a.m.

According to authorities, the biker was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

The CHP closed Las Flores Canyon Road between Hume Road and Rambla Pacifico for more than an hour, allowing access to residents only.
