Former Bell City Manager Sues City Over Salary, Benefits

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Former Bell city manager Robert Rizzo filed a lawsuit Monday, claiming his contract was breached.

The lawsuit states that he is entitled to his nearly $1.5 million yearly salary and benefits package.

Rizzo and seven other Bell city officials have been charged with fraud and misappropriation of public money.

Rizzo claims he is owed the money, plus interest, because he didn’t resign, and he hasn’t been convicted of a felony, according to court documents.

Rizzo has some nerve. The sense of entitlement is disgusting and what caused his problems in the first place. I hope the justice system is able to prevail and make sure Rizzo gets what he deserves….which is jail time

I can’t stand this guy but he is exposing the flawed system that was created by the very own politicians of this state. How do you like them apples? Is anyone really surprised?

i think this guy is guilty as it gets BUT if he never resigned and has not yet been convicted he IS OWED this money he would be owed the money on ANY JOB where wrong doing has not YET been proven
