PORTER RANCH (CBS) — A fire official Saturday said an elderly hiker, who collapsed along the Limekiln Canyon Trail near Porter Ranch, has died.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the location in the 19300 block of Rinaldi Street about 8:36 a.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
Upon arrival, the paramedics found a 76-year-old man who had collapsed. He was reportedly hiking with a small group of friends and his wife at the time.
“They (paramedics) worked on him for nearly half an hour” before pronouncing him dead, Humphrey said.
