LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Los Angeles police Wednesday were investigating the death of a baby buried in the Angeles National Forest.

Detectives learned about the 2010 death of a 6-week-old child yesterday, police spokesman Richard French said.

It was unclear how police learned of the death, but the body apparently has been recovered. Detectives are working with coroner’s investigators to determine if a crime was committed.
