San Diego State Trying For Big-12 Invite

(CBS) -- According to the San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego State has told representatives from the Big-12 conference that it is interested in joining their conference.

The report indicated the Big-12 is looking more "East than West" for conference expansion, but SDSU could be very attractive to the ever-changing landscape of the Big-12.

The Big-12 just added Texas Christian University on Monday to its league.

San Diego State's basketball program was one of the best in the nation last year.
