No Testimony Monday In Conrad Murray Trial

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — There will be no testimony in the manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray Monday in observance of Columbus Day.

The trial will resume Tuesday where a taped recording of Murray talking to LAPD detectives will continue to be played.

On Friday, the recording included Murray explaining to officers that he was trying to wean Michael Jackson off of several addictive drugs.

Murray also told police that he only left the singer's side for about two minutes after giving him a powerful anesthetic and was stunned to find the pop star had stopped breathing.

Murray is accused of administering a fatal dose of propofol to Jackson in 2009.
