Man Sought In Seal Beach Armed Robbery

SEAL BEACH (CBS) — A search was under way Friday for a gunman who robbed a woman of her jewelry in a Seal Beach market parking lot, according to police.

The robbery occurred about 2:30 p.m. Thursday outside the Sprouts Farmers Market in the 12300 block of Seal Beach Boulevard, Seal Beach police Sgt. John Scott said.

"The victim said she had just was approached in the parking lot by a man who demanded her jewelry," Scott said. "The robber brandished a weapon and took the jewelry but left the woman unharmed."

According to the victim, the suspect then walked over to a silver or gray vehicle which appeared to be waiting for him and got in, Scott said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and a baseball cap.
