Angel, Kennedy Shine As Chivas Draws DC 2-2

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Juan Pablo Angel scored twice and Dan Kennedy saved a stoppage-time penalty kick to lift Chivas USA to a 2-2 comeback draw against D.C. United on Wednesday night.

Angel scored in the 57th and 70th minutes for Chivas (8-12-10) to push the club to its first two-goal comeback this season and snap a four-match losing skid.

Kennedy then went to his left to stop Dwayne De Rosario's penalty effort, after De Rosario drew a penalty kick for what TV replays showed was minimal contact with Angel.

De Rosario and Ethan White scored for United (8-9-10), which yielded a two-goal lead for the first time this season and fell below .500 for the first time since July 20.

But Angel responded 10 minutes after White's goal when he headed in Nick LaBrocca's cross from the right from about 8 yards out.

He then tied it 13 minutes later when he took Ante Jazic's pass near the 6-yard box, outmuscled D.C. defender Brandon McDonald, and finished past Bill Hamid from close range.

It was the first multi-goal game for the Colombian 35-year-old since July 31, 2010, when he scored twice in New York's 2-2 draw at Houston. He has scored four of his seven goals this season with Chivas after he was acquired in an August trade with the Los Angeles Galaxy
