LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A bone marrow drive was held Sunday at Saint Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple City.
Doctors are trying to find a match for two teen girls in need of transplants.
There are no matches for either girl in the national or global data bases.
Joining the various registries is easy, free and quick.
In the case of the national registry, all they need is a swab of your cheek…no blood is taken.
The registry made a special plea for donors of Hispanic heritage. Less than ten percent of the 9 million registered donors are Hispanic.
