BEAUMONT (CBS) — Eleven people were arrested, including four allegedly driving in a stolen car, during a DUI checkpoint in Beaumont.
The CHP reported 302 vehicles passed through the checkpoint from 10 p.m. Saturday until 2:30 a.m. today in the eastbound lanes of Highway 74 at Las Flores Avenue resulting in seven DUI arrests, according to CHP Officer Darren Meyer.
“Ten vehicles were impounded for driving without a license or driving with a suspended license,” Meyer said. “Additionally, a driver and three passengers were arrested when they drove into the checkpoint in a stolen SUV.”
