Cummings Announced As New Chief Of LA Fire Department

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Interim Chief Brian Cummings has been selected as the new chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa made the announcement Wednesday, but the selection must still be ratified by the city council.

As KNX 1070’s Pete Demetriou reports, Cummings is a 32-year veteran of the LAFD.

Cummings will succeed Millage Peaks, who retired in July after more than 30 years with the department.

  1. Iatola says:

All cronies and shills applauded the move as the latest in a serious of “excellent choices” by government officials. “We arrive at this point with bribes and pandering well spent. We are honored that he will provide that continuity Los Angeles has come to expect from its politicians.”

  2. The Truth about the LAFD says:

I am sure at his “ringing in” luncheon, it will be a huge LAFD niger fest. Looking just like the million man march. Once again, the mayor has to try and please the blacks. Yet the blacks on the LAFD will still cry racism or harrassment whent ehy don’t get their way or are asked to do something.
