LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a plane en route to Los Angeles has returned to Las Vegas after a man on board made a bomb threat.
Las Vegas police tell KLAS-TV that Spirit Flight 245 landed at McCarran International Airport around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, with police taking the passenger who made the alleged threat into custody at the gate.
McCarran spokesman Glenn Gardener says authorities were investigating the suspect. Gardener did not know the specifics of the alleged threat.
Authorities searched the Spirit aircraft and cleared it later Saturday.
Gardener says the plane’s other passengers, who were removed from the aircraft at Las Vegas, boarded another plane to Los Angeles International Airport.
No further information was released.
