STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Look for some gradual warming as we make our way into the weekend.

Daytime highs will be slightly warmer Friday. We'll get into the low 80s in the basin, and valleys will hit the mid 90s.

We are watching that ridge of high pressure nudge back to the west. Therefore, look for some much warmer inland temperatures for the holiday weekend.

The marine layer will be squashed back to the coast.

As far as our surf goes, we are still under the influence of a high-surf advisory. That advisory is set to expire at 5 p.m. Friday.

There will, however, be a dangerous rip current all weekend long.

Coastal - upper 70s
Basin -mid 80s
Valleys - mid 90s
Mountains - upper 70s
Deserts - mid to upper 90s
