Metro Green Line Gets Green Light For LAX Expansion Project

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Metro has been given a green light to expand its green line rail service to new neighborhoods.

The federal government has given its approval for construction to begin on a line along Crenshaw Boulevard that would run from the Metro Green Line near LAX to the Expo Line.

If the MTA approves the expansion at its meeting next month, it will send out a request for proposals from construction companies.
