LA HABRA (AP) — A funeral has been held for a 7-month-old baby whose mother is accused of throwing him from an Orange County hospital building’s parking structure.

The Orange County Register says services for Noe Medina Jr. were held Wednesday at a La Habra church.

On Aug. 22, the boy plummeted from the fourth story of a parking structure at Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

The boy had physical problems and wore a corrective helmet. Prosecutors say 31-year-old Sonia Hermosillo removed it before dropping him.

She’s charged with murder and assault and could face 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

Her husband says Hermosillo had postpartum depression and didn’t want the boy because she considered him abnormal.

At a Monday hearing, defense attorney Charles Hasse described Hermosillo as only marginally coherent.

death penalty for her or send her back to her country to be a drain on their society… this story horrifies me… she will burn in hell. Poor little baby.

Somewhere I hope that little boy- that baby- is at peace. He would have never had it with this psychotic piece of trash. Now her sympathetic husband can go make another life he can devalue as much as this child’s.

i just dont get it… why would she throw her child from a building?… they call it post pardom but, she knew what she was doing… and if you dont want your child then… let some one adopt him/her…. geee i dont like her but does that make it right if i want to throw her from a building? GIVE HER THE DEATH PENALTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know for a fact that this was a suicide, the baby jumped.
