LAKE ELSINORE (AP) — Two skydivers have been critically injured after colliding in midair over Lake Elsinore.

Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Cheri Patterson says one of the skydivers suffered cardiac arrest and required CPR as he was rushed to the hospital on Friday. She says the other skydiver also had major injuries.

Patterson says the collision occurred around 5:40 p.m. over Skydive Elsinore’s facility. An after-hours call to the skydiving operation was not immediately returned.
