Victim, 61, In Fatal Riverside Stabbing Identified

RIVERSIDE (CBS) — The coroner’s office Sunday released the identity of a man who was stabbed in Riverside.

Moses Duron, 61, of Yucaipa, was pronounced dead at 2:50 p.m. Friday at Riverside Community Hospital, according to the coroner’s office.

Jeffrey Scott Landers, 31, of Riverside was arrested and booked for suspicion of murder after the fatal stabbing that was reported at 2:05 p.m. Friday in the 4100 block of 10th Street in Riverside, according to Riverside police Sgt. Dan Russell.

“For unknown reasons, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim, an adult male, one time,” Russell said. “After the incident, the suspect fled but later returned to the scene and surrendered to officers.”
