Person Of Interest In 2 Denver Deaths Held In SoCal
PALM SPRINGS (AP) — A man considered a person of interest in the killing of his two Denver roommates has been arrested in Southern California.
A police statement says 55-year-old Daryl L. Rasmussen was arrested Monday night after a patron at a Palm Springs bar recognized him from TV reports.
Rasmussen, a cross-dresser known as "Ms. Puppy," was held without bail on arrest warrants for a parole violation out of Austin, Texas, and a probation violation for counterfeiting out of Savannah, Ga.
It's not immediately clear whether he's obtained an attorney.
Denver police want to question him about the beating deaths of 63-year-old Ronald Ford and Ford's life partner, 55-year-old Ramiro Sanchez. Ford's body was found in his basement on Feb. 11 and Sanchez's body was found under some bags there a week later.
