Alleged Drunk Driver Rams Into Parked Cars In Winnetka

WINNETKA (CBS) — A suspected drunk driver has hit as many as seven parked cars in Winnetka.

The accident, which was reported about 9:44 p.m., occurred in the 19700 block of Saticoy, according to authorities.

Stu Mundel, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said the impact of the crash caused one of the cars to wind up underneath another parked car.

After the accident, several witnesses held the suspect who has since been detained by police.

No other information was immediately available.

Wow. 2 years ago, on new years day, a drunk hit about 11 cars on my street. (Seriously). Happened around 1 in the morning.

There were cars in the middle of the street, cars on top of cars, and another almost flipped over as it was pushed hard against a light pole. The guy drove about 9 miles without a right from wheel leaving his mark on the street. That’s how he eventually got caught.

The Duh factor seems pretty high here. Too bad the suspect did not fall off the curb while he was being held.
