Convicted Sex Offender Arrested for Parole Violations
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A convicted sex offender suspected of trying to conceal his whereabouts was put behind bars on Thursday.
Joseph Morton, 46, was arrested Wednesday morning in Norco for alleged parole violations.
Deputies located Morton while conducting a parole compliance check at a house on Reservoir Drive, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Matthew Sims said.
Morton, who has prior convictions for lewd acts on a child and indecent exposure, had not registered the address with law enforcement, Sims said.
He is being held at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning with a bail set at $5,000.
