Police Chase Carjacking Suspect On 405 Freeway Near Long Beach
LOS ALAMITOS (CBS) — A carjacking suspect led police on a high-speed pursuit on the southbound 405 Freeway before surrendering in Los Alamitos, according to scanner reports.
Authorities said the man forcibly took someone's car in West Los Angeles. There was reportedly marijuana and a laptop in the car.
Police caught up to the suspect, who began driving erratically to evade officers and used the freeway's shoulder to get around rush-hour traffic.
The man eventually stopped the vehicle and surrendered peacefully on the southbound 405 Freeway, just south of the 605 Freeway.
