LA’s First-Ever Navy Week To Kick Off Monday

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The city’s first-ever Navy Week is kicking off Monday at the Port of Los Angeles.

The U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln arrives at Cabrillo Beach Monday and will be open for free tours throughout the week.

It will be joined by the U.S.S. Princeton, the U.S.S. Chafee and the U.S.S. Champion. Those ships will also be open to the public.

Port Spokesman Phillip Sanfield says it is a great showcase for the Navy.
