Woman Shot, Robbed In Marina Del Rey Parking Garage
MARINA DEL REY (CBS) — Police are looking for a robbery suspect who shot a woman in the parking garage of a Marina Del Rey apartment complex.
The robbery and shooting happened at The Bay Club apartment building in the 1400 block of Tahiti Way around 10 p.m. Thursday, Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials said.
The woman was apparently robbed at gunpoint when she got out of her car. She gave the suspect her purse, ran away and was shot in the lower back, authorities said. Neighbors reported hearing three gunshots.
The suspect was seen running away from the scene.
The woman underwent surgery at a local hospital where she is recovering.
Sheriff's officials are unsure if the robbery was a targeted or random attack. They did not release a description of the suspect.
