Thief Steals Wallets, Purses From Office Workers In Irvine

IRVINE (CBS) — Police are asking for the public’s help to catch a thief who has been stealing from office workers in buildings throughout Irvine.

Police believe the thief steals wallets and purses from workers and uses their credit cards to buy expensive gift cards.

A suspect has been seen on surveillance video shopping at several stores. Detectives say he’s either white or Middle Eastern with thinning hair.

He usually wears casual business clothes and has been seen in both a black Mercedes and a silver SUV.

If you can identify the thief, or have any information about the case, Irvine police would like you to contact them.
