Woman Allegedly Cuts Off Husband’s Penis, Puts It In Garbage Disposal

GARDEN GROVE (CBS) — A woman has been arrested for cutting off her husband’s penis with a 10-inch kitchen knife, according to police in Garden Grove.

Officers responding to a medical emergency call at 9 p.m. Monday in the 14000 block of Flower Avenue found the man in bed, bleeding from his groin area.

The suspect, 48-year-old Catherine Kieu Becker, had apparently used a drug in the victim’s food to make him sleepy before she attacked him, police said.

She called 911 and told responding officers that her husband, whose name has not been released, “deserved it.”

Officers say she then put the penis in the garbage disposal and turned on the appliance.

The man was transported to UCI Medical Center, where he underwent emergency surgery and is in stable condition.

Becker was arrested for aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse.

She was booked into the Orange County Jail.

The couple is apparently going through a divorce.

Oh, good. Another misandrist hiding behind the guise of “womyn’s empowerment.”

“The couple is apparently going through a divorce.”

“apparently”.. if they weren’t going through a divorce… they sure are now!

  • Joe

I can’t condone what she did for it is a grievous crime. Her criminal act will surely earn her a spot in the prime time TV for a short period but her act of revenge will be short lived. The years she will be spending behind bars will make her realize that walking away from the relationship is the better choice than extorting revenge by decapitating her spouse’s manhood whom she views as the ultimate insult to the male specie. Mutilating another person’s body to “get even” is not civilized. We turn into animals if we start believe that this is a form of tough justice. When all sense of right judgment is about to deminish, chose to walk away and have a chance to live a normal life tomorrow. Throwing away pride and chosing to live a free life is all worth it.

    • jorge

Put this woman in the same cell as the worthless thing that kidnaped Jaycee Dugard, give her a semi dull knife and turn out the lights.

  • rick2

actually yall if she claims he beat her cheated on her or something she can and likely will get away with this just look back at the case of Lorena Bobbitt who did this self same thing except she tossed it out the car window

    • Karen

VA court = liberal panzy court. This is CA. Hopefully we do better.

    • landon nguyen

it seems like people forgot about this one already.

  • Joe

oh, come on, man…How could you say that her husband “saved her from life of poverty and squander in Vietnam” ? We don’t know her background. Remember, she is a 48 year old woman. I am assuming that she came to the country during the 1970s or 1980s as a child. Was she abused constantly by the husband? Was the husband a womanizer? Did she lived a life of hell on earth? We don’t know a lot about this lady. Yes, she committed a crime which is not common crime here in the states. Let’s leave it as that and let the American justice handle it. If this lady is a green card holder then she will be deported for sure. If she is an American citizen then she is looking at a lot of years behind bars. By the time she is released, she won’t have a lot of life in her left. Let’s just keep her race out of it please.

    • vicky sanchez

      I agree

  • Mike

Boy…I hear separation anxiety is a hard thing to deal with.

I guess he wasn’t cut out for this kind of relationship.

Wonder if he will get some kind of severance package?

    • AJ Morgan

      HAHAHA Spot on Mike!

  • rick2

GET REAL its a little hard to be an illegal asian that would be one long ass swim

  • meany

you go girl i would do the same

    • Josh

You’re a sexist, a hypocrite and a joke, all rolled into one.

Abuse is abuse, regardless of the victim’s gender. How would you feel about it if it was a man cutting the breasts off a cheating woman? The “womyn’s movement” would leap on that with bared fangs. Of course, it still has yet to be proven that the man in this case cheated at all.

  • icecream

It is very ignorant, cruel and insensitive for women to say that he deserved it. What if some crazy man decided to viciously mulialte a woman’s sexual organs, ? It would be just as horrible.
If ALL of us ALWAYS got EVERYTHING we deserved, none of us woild be alive

    • reality strikes

That is called Female Genital Mutilation and is still now practiced daily in multiple countries across the world. However people aren’t outraged about this common day practice men have towards females.. but are all the outrage when a woman does it to one man. yes, she went nuts. But reality is look at the bigger picture when it comes to genital mutilation.

      • Karen

You’re wrong. We stripped the citizenship of an alleged Nazi war criminal after he worked and lived in this country for about 50 years. We sent him back to Germany on a guerney. WE DO TAKE AWAY CITIZENSHIP for crimes of this nature.

      • reality strikes

        Karen –
no, we don’t. But it is common elsewhere, and many of those people are granted asylum in the US. So in the end it does reach America.

Taking away someone’s naturalized citizenship is something that is not done even to the worst of the serial killers and sexual predators. It sounds like your idea of taking away her (possible) naturalized citizenship is based solely on the fact that she is not white? The fact that this woman acted out in this way is not a result of her culture or upbringing. Lorena Bobbit is an American, Anglo woman who did the same crime first. But when it was her, people weren’t shouting to take away her naturalized citizenship.

      • reality

Rick: even better because at the time people still were less concerned with her citizenship then they are now. If this had been in the times of the red scare ppl would’ve thought it was because she was secretly a communist. Americans don’t ever seem to want to give up the habit of having a witch hunt every few decades to pursuit others for reasons other than thier outter differences.

Karen – this is why being a nazi and cutting off your husband’s appendage are NOT the same, and for one it is legal to take away thier citizenship, and for another it is not:

        Part III–Loss of Nationality

Sec. 1481. Loss of nationality by native-born or naturalized
citizen; voluntary action; burden of proof; presumptions

shall approve such renunciation as not contrary to the interests of
        national defense; or
        (7) committing any act of treason against, or attempting by
force to overthrow, or bearing arms against, the United States,

2383 of title 18, or willfully performing any act in violation of

force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against
them, if and when he is convicted thereof by a court martial or by a
        court of competent jurisdiction.

        (b) Whenever the loss of United States nationality is put in issue
in any action or proceeding commenced on or after September 26, 1961
under, or by virtue of, the provisions of this chapter or any other Act,
the burden shall be upon the person or party claiming that such loss
occurred, to establish such claim by a preponderance of the evidence.
Any person who commits or performs, or who has committed or performed,
any act of expatriation under the provisions of this chapter or any
other Act shall be presumed to have done so voluntarily, but such
presumption may be rebutted upon a showing, by a preponderance of the
evidence, that the act or acts committed or performed were not done

      • Karen

        Therefore, your argument is BUPKISS.

We are a civilized country. This is an act of a barbarian.

If she is not American, she needs to be deported. If she’s naturalized, we need to take it away from her.

She needs to go after she serves her life in prison with possiblity of parole.

      • rick
