Relatives of the victim say he was going to assist a friend who had drank too much when he was hit.

Paramedics rushed Aquino to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center where he later died.

Police say the suspect’s vehicle also had large tires and a wide gold or silver stripe running across the body of the truck and may also have some front-end damage.

I will pray for his family. I knew him briefly. He was a person with a great personality.

  5. Debra says:

Since the person that was killed is not a police officer I’m sure the LAPD hasn’t even started to investigate this hit and run. They placed this case on the desk of the least experienced detective who wont be back to work until after the long holiday weekend. I have a cousin with LAPD and this is reality people. Yes, life is not fare.

  6. Theo says:

Why are we wasting time on an illegal hitting another illegal? Both were drunk anyway. If we secured our border this woulda happened in TJ and not here. Good riddance!

  7. Kramer says:

They can afford it, in 10 years when they finance it for 84 months at 28% interest! LOL! Then they get caught driving with no insurance and no license and get it taken away an impounded. Or if they do not want to wait they can steal it like they always do. 1 less illegal to worry about.

  8. "wake -up- people" says:

    one less illegal restaurant worker!!!
