Angels Continue Dominance Over Dodgers, Win 3-1
ANAHEIM (CBS) -- Ervin Santana (4-8) pitched into the 8th inning, holding the Dodgers to just one run and Russell Branyan broke a 1-1 tie in the 7th inning with his first homer of the year, giving the Angels a 3-1 win over the Dodgers.
The Angels won the annual Freeway Series, taking four of six from the Dodgers. The Dodgers haven't taken a season series from the Angels since 2006.
Despite the loss, Chad Billingsley pitched his fourth complete game of his career and first this season.
With the win, Mike Scioscia has taken the lead for most wins in interleague play with 132, passing Joe Torre.
