Man Arrested At LAX For Flying Without Valid Boarding Pass, Matching ID

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A man is in FBI custody after flying from New York’s JFK Airport to LAX without a valid boarding pass and matching ID.

The incident happened last Friday, but Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi, who is described as a U.S. citizen of Nigerian heritage, was arrested Wednesday.

Sources say he has been charged with being a stowaway on Virgin Airways, but he is not being charged under any terror or security laws.

He apparently told investigators that he found the unused boarding pass and managed to sneak aboard the airliner. Officials say he was carrying several other boarding passes at the time.

After the plane was airborne, the crew discovered Noibi and he was met by FBI agents when the plane landed.

The FBI and TSA are working to find out how the security breach happened at Kennedy Airport.
