PASADENA (CBS) — Final preparations for the Rose Bowl’s annual Fourth of July fireworks show are getting underway.
Roughly 8,000 pounds of fire retardant chemicals will be sprayed on the brush surrounding the Rose Bowl before Monday’s show.
KNX 1070’s John Brooks reports.
Fire crews held a safety drill Wednesday morning in an attempt to prevent any wildfires a malfunction could potentially trigger.
Authorities are reminding residents and attendees that the sale and possession of fireworks is illegal in Pasadena, as well as most areas in Los Angeles County.
They instead recommend heading to a professional show. Be sure to check out our list of fireworks displays.
