Lakers Use Draft Pick On Former Windward High School Star

(CBS) --The Los Angeles Lakers finally made their first pick in the NBA draft, selecting Darius Morris with the 41st overall pick.

Morris played his college basketball at the University of Michigan.

He did not sign with an agent and could return to school in Ann Arbor.

If the 6"5 guard does try and make the Lakers roster, he will be coming home; Morris attended Windward High School in Los Angeles.

Moments later, the Lakers used the 46th pick on Guard Andrew Goudelock from the College of Charleston.

With the 56th pick, the Lakers picked Chukwudiebore Maduabum. The 6"9 forward from Nigeria played 21 minutes last year in the D-League with Bakersfield, scoring two points.

The Lakers used their final pick on Ater Majok, a 6"10 center with a wing-span of 7"5. The Sudanese big man played one year with the University of Connecticut in 2009. Last year he played pro ball in Australia.
