Landlords Getting Bed Bug Insurance

NEW YORK (CBS) — High profile landlords and hotel owners are getting help from insurers to cover the cost of getting rid of bed bugs.

According to the National Pest Management Association, one out of five Americans has had an infestation or knows someone who has.

Global risk management businesses are teaming up with extermination experts at Terminix to offer the country's first bed bug insurance policy.

Coverage includes extermination costs and loss of revenue during infestation and property damage.
