Worker Seriously Hurt While Trying To Fix Six Flags Ride
VALENCIA (CBS) — A technician working to fix a malfunction on a roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain suffered a six-inch gash to his left arm when the ride moved unexpectedly.
The victim, described as a man in his 30s, was taken to a nearby hospital after being treated on scene after the accident which occurred at 9:38 p.m. Friday.
A viewer called CBS2 and KCAL9 to report the mechanical issue on "Tatsu." The malfunction reportedly caused the ride to be stuck upside down for quite a while.
The ride has been shut down while an investigation continues, but the park remains open.
No other injuries were reported.
Calls to Magic Mountain officials have not yet been returned.
