LOS ANGELES (CBS/KNX) — The Dodgers aren't the only assets affected by the McCourt divorce proceedings. The L.A. Marathon could also be on the auction block.

KNX 1070's John Brooks reports.

Frank McCourt bought the L.A. Marathon three years ago. The race made $5 million in revenue in 2010 and came close to breaking even.

If a judge orders the sale of the McCourt's assets, the marathon, which starts at Dodger Stadium and ends in Santa Monica, could also be sold.

According to court records, the couple also own seven homes.

"I'm sorry for certain lifestyle decisions that I've made. I'm sorry that I've been a source of embarrassment," Frank McCourt said Wednesday.

McCourt's ex-wife Jamie claims the couple's net worth is around $1.2 billion, most of it tied up in property.

The embattled couple held settlement talks Wednesday for four hours, but no deal was reached. The McCourts are scheduled to meet again on Monday.
