Woman, 54, Killed On 210 Freeway While Reportedly Speeding

AZUSA (CBS) — A woman who smashed a Subaru Outback into a pillar of a Foothill (210) Freeway underpass in Azusa Wednesday died instantly in the crash, which was blamed on high speed.

Theresa Tonner, 54, of Fontana, was eastbound on First Street and hit the pillar at 8:37 a.m., said Cpl. Dean Brewer of the Azusa Police Department's Traffic Division.

No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the collision and witnesses indicated speed was a factor.
