Police: Man Shot For Offering Coins To Robbery Suspect

SAN FERNANDO (CBS) — A man who demanded money from another man shot the victim when he offered the suspect coins early Wednesday, police said.

The robbery in the 1300 block of Maclay Street, near Foothill Boulevard, happened shortly after midnight, Sgt. Kirk Kahoe of the Mission Station said.

The victim was shot once in the wrist and taken to a hospital, Kahoe said. He was expected to recover.

The suspect fled and there was no description early today.

    it is sad that times are so tough & we have these people who go out there & rob & are willing to pull the trigger , what happens when people who really don’t want to go out packing but because times are going to get real crazy out there start taking their own guns out there. the bad guys should take note because they are way out numbered by the good guys. it is to bad that things have to get worst before they get better.
