LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police are looking for carloads of attackers who shot a reputed gang member seven times.
Lt. Peter Casey tells City News Service that the man, who is in his 20s, was wounded Monday night in South Los Angeles when at least four gang members drove up in two cars, got out and opened fire before driving off.
The man was hit four times in the shoulder, once in each hand and once in the foot. He was hospitalized in stable condition. His name hasn’t been released.
Casey says it’s unclear whether the attackers were from a rival gang or the shooting involved a dispute within the same gang.
