WOODLAND HILLS (CBS) — A 2-year-old boy found face down in a Woodland Hills swimming pool Tuesday afternoon was airlifted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition.

Paramedics were sent to 4600 block of North Cerrillos Drive at 3:24 p.m., Matt Spence of the city fire department said.

The child’s vital signs were stable, and he was apparently conscious as he was being put aboard the helicopter, according to reports from the scene.

Spence said the child is awake and breathing at the hospital, but is listed in serious condition.

Where in the article does it say ANYTHING about there being a housekeeper or a nanny? NOWHERE! Where does it mention ANYTHING about a language barrier? That’s right – NOWHERE! Am I the only person who finds it disgusting that the kid had to be airlifted to UCLA? LA County MUST do something about the lack of trauma centers in the county!

What an awful story. Please watch your children in the pool this summer, we don’t need any more of this. I hope the boy is okay, im praying for you!

Terrible, indeed. Parents need to watch their kids. Question for you, Calyn: what do you think praying is going to do? If there was a “god”, the child would have fallen into the pool and walked out. Or, even better, he wouldn’t have fallen in the pool in the first place. Find better ways to express your hopes for someone to have a speedy recovery. Oh, and since you’re so religious, I hope you don’t eat shellfish. Otherwise you’re an abomination, according to the book.
